With a Same-Day Jaipur Tour from Agra, you may spend a single day exploring the energetic Pink City of Jaipur. Even though Agra and Jaipur are about 240 kilometers apart (about 4-5 hours by road), this schedule is made to maximize your time in Jaipur. You will tour prominent attractions including Amber Fort, City Palace, and Hawa Mahal, while also getting a taste of the rich Rajasthani culture and cuisine.
To guarantee you have enough time to see Jaipur's main attractions, leave Agra early.
Mode of transportation: rail, taxi, or private vehicle (for efficiency and comfort, a rapid train or private vehicle is preferred).
Travel time: four to five hours by train or automobile.
Transportation to Amber Fort: You will be driven straight to your first destination when you arrive.
Discover the Amber Fort, one of the most recognizable sites in Jaipur. A combination of Rajput and Mughal architecture can be found at this UNESCO World Heritage site.
The Sheesh Mahal (Mirror Palace), Diwan-i-Aam (Hall of Public Audience), and the stunning Maota Lake are important places to see.
Optional: You can travel to the fort's entrance by vehicle or elephant.
Stop by Jal Mahal (Water Palace), located in the middle of Man Sagar Lake. The peaceful ambiance created by the palace's reflection makes it the perfect location for photos. Although entry is not permitted, the views are stunning.
See the Palace of Winds, often called Hawa Mahal. The 953 tiny windows (jharokhas) on the elaborately built façade made it possible for the royal women to surreptitiously observe street activity. Take pictures of this unusual building, one of the most photographed attractions in Jaipur.
For classic Rajasthani food, try LMB (Laxmi Misthan Bhandar) or Chokhi Dhani. For a true Rajasthani experience, try lal maas, gatte ki sabzi, and dal baati churma.
Discover the City Palace, a stunning example of Rajput and Mughal architecture. It has a number of gardens, courtyards, and museums. For a taste of royal heritage, visit the Chandra Mahal, Mubarak Mahal, and Pritam Niwas Chowk.
See the astronomical observatory known as Jantar Mantar, which was constructed by Maharaja Jai Singh II. Large equipment used to measure time and track celestial bodies can be seen at this UNESCO World Heritage site.
Wander through the jewelry-focused Johari Bazaar or the textile-, handicraft-, and souvenir-focused Bapu Bazaar. Purchase traditional Rajasthani goods like blue pottery, handmade fabrics, and kundan jewelry.
Returning to Agra by train or automobile takes four to five hours.
When you arrive in Agra at around 9:30 PM, your exciting same-day trip of Jaipur will come to an end.
